Wow. Bernhoft performing his song “Cmon Talk” at the Drake Underground blew my mind. Much like he is in his music video, he stole the show with his one-man band, voice range and crowd-pleaser abilities. He is one talented performer. We were lucky to see him before he left for SXSW. He had performed in Brooklyn the night before… He is highly recommended and we were so lucky to see him perform in this intimate venue!

Toward the end of Mutek festival on Sunday last week, the last showing of “Cinechamber Classics” took place at the Excentris movie theatre in Montreal. The showcase was once again on 10 screens mounted on 4 walls, in a projected panorama, with surround sound. 

Manceau Shows Off Delightful Scenes in Paris (Video)

This impressive new music video for “LIttle By Little” by the French band Manceau is directed by Gunther Gheeraert. Featuring retro lighting and effects, Gheeraert filmed it using various Canon 5Ds and several different lenses to achieve the soft lighting and dream-like effects.

British band of the moment, Metronomy, are set to perform both weekends at Coachella Festival in Indio, CA, this weekend and next. They’ll also be opening for Coldplay in North America, leading up to their return to Europe for gigs in May.

Prior to their gig in Toronto on April 2, I caught up with two of the four band members, Joseph Mount and Oscar Cash (Lead vocals and composer, and keyboards and back-up vocals), to hear their thoughts.

Dat Dat Dat / ANF is a visual designer in Berlin who creates very minimal and elegant music videos, installations and short films. For Egyptrixx’s remake of ‘Old Black,’ a song by the band Earth, Dat Dat Dat created an original video that breathes life into the sounds.
